Accelerating innovation toward therapeutic development

Advancing digital transformation of therapeutic development

The digital and health technologies chapter of the Swiss Biotech Association unites members and stakeholders to advance the digital transformation of therapeutic development. We focus on technologies that enable or enhance the discovery, development, delivery, and manufacturing of novel therapeutics.

Core areas

Digital tools and computational approaches that contribute to:

  • Target identification and validation
  • Drug property prediction and optimization
  • Personalized treatment design
  • Clinical trial optimization
  • Drug repurposing
  • Digital companion diagnostics and therapeutics
  • Manufacturing process optimization and forecasting

Enabling systems support

To support safe, scalable innovation, the chapter also promotes essential enabling systems:

  • Regulatory-grade data infrastructure to ensure compliance, traceability, and auditability of clinical data and AI models
  • Secure, interoperable data ecosystems, such as federated learning platforms, enabling decentralized collaboration without compromising privacy.

Reinforcing Switzerland’s global leadership in biotech innovation

Together, these technologies power precision diagnostics, predictive modeling, treatment optimization, and data-driven clinical decisions – building the foundation for trusted, high-impact digital solutions and strengthening Switzerland’s position as a global leader in biotech innovation.

Engage at the Swiss Biotech Day

Our chapter community will once again have dedicated visibility at the premier global biotechnology conference for life sciences : The Swiss Biotech Day on May 4-5, 2026.

In 2025 it attracted over 3,000 participants from nearly 50 countries. If you are looking to connect, showcase innovation, and explore new partnerships, mark your calendar — dedicated pitch slots and other chapter activities will be announced soon.

Early confirmation of your interest in pitching slots or contributing to the panel discussion ensures smooth coordination and access to tailored visibility opportunities within the chapter program.
